Solana‘s non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have achieved an impressive milestone, surpassing $5 billion in all-time sales volume. The blockchain experienced a resurgence in NFT trading activity over the last four months, reaching a record-breaking sales volume. Data from CryptoSlam highlights the robust ecosystem, boasting over 2.2 million buyers and 1.6 million sellers, with nearly 43 million transactions.

Solana NFTs: Revival After a Sluggish Period

Solana NFTs faced challenges between July and October 2023, struggling to exceed $40 million in monthly sales. However, a remarkable turnaround began in November 2023, with monthly sales hitting $82 million—a 192% increase from the previous month. The momentum continued in December 2023, reaching an impressive $365 million in sales, marking the second-highest monthly volume to date.

Sustained Momentum of Solana NFTs in 2024

Despite a slight dip in January, Solana NFTs remained resilient, recording over $1 billion in sales volume over the past nine months. February’s monthly sales stand at $161 million, showcasing sustained momentum and investor confidence in Solana’s NFT ecosystem.

Market Dynamics and SOL Performance

The surge in Solana NFT sales in December 2023 coincided with bullish price action for SOL, the native token of the Solana network. On December 26, 2023, SOL reached a high of $121.45, with a trading volume of $5.7 billion. However, at the time of writing, SOL trades at $101.73, representing a 2.46% decrease in the last 24 hours.
