The Odyssey Beta program, which commenced in December 2022, will officially conclude on March 31, according to Steve Kaczynski, the program lead. Users are advised to complete any remaining activities or “journeys” within the program by March 25. After the shutdown, there will be no further Benefit Selection Periods, and all accumulated points will expire.
Starbucks plans to extend a final benefit to Odyssey members who have reached Level 1 or above by the end of March.
What Exactly is Starbucks Odyssey?
Starbucks Odyssey is Starbucks’ NFT-based rewards program, where participation is by invitation only. Users can log in using their existing Starbucks Rewards account to earn points and digital Journey Stamps through their Starbucks purchases.
These stamps, presented as exclusive NFTs, can be bought, sold, or traded, while the points can be redeemed for unique benefits.
Future of Stamps After Odyssey’s Closure
Following the shutdown of Odyssey, stamps will remain accessible on Nifty Gateway. The transition involves moving the Odyssey marketplace to the Nifty platform to facilitate ongoing transactions, including buying, selling, and transferring of Odyssey stamps. Moreover, members will have the option to withdraw their stamps to an external wallet and engage in trading on other platforms.
Despite discontinuing the Odyssey NFT Program, Starbucks reassures its members that it remains attentive to the community’s needs and is committed to providing avenues for members to connect in the future.
