Announced on February 23, the collaboration between Pudgy Penguins and Unstoppable Domains introduces the ‘.pudgy’ domain extension. This collaboration allows users of Unstoppable Domains to acquire top-level domain names ending in ‘.pudgy,’ creating a direct link with their Pudgy Penguin NFTs.

The integration brings forth a range of possibilities for domain holders. Users can now send and receive web3 messages, conduct cryptocurrency payments between domain addresses, and even collect exclusive utility badges through their new ‘.pudgy’ domains.

Sandy Carter, COO at Unstoppable Domains, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Pudgy Penguins into the Unstoppable Domains family, emphasizing that this collaboration goes beyond just adding a new domain extension. It signifies embracing a community that embodies the spirit of Web3 and the future of digital identity.

As part of this collaboration, Unstoppable Domains has introduced the Pudgy Ambassador Program and the Pudgy Storytelling Campaign. The Ambassador Program aims to select ambassadors from Pudgy’s prominent community members to promote the use of ‘.pudgy’ domain names, rewarding them with special Pudgy Ambassador badges. In a strategic move to expand its presence, Pudgy Penguins recently announced the introduction of 30 new toy designs, along with an expansion of its collectible toy line across 1,100 new Walmart locations. These toys will feature QR codes, allowing buyers to unlock digital traits and collectibles within Pudgy World, the project’s ZkSync Era-based open-world game. Moreover, Pudgy holders whose NFTs are depicted as toys sold in-store will earn royalties from sales through the OverpassIP platform, adding real-world utility and value for Pudgy holders.
